bulletMost insurance companies allow a graduate of a U.S.C.G.Auxiliary safe boating course up to a 10-15 percent discount on boat insurance.
bulletAll Auxiliary boating courses will make you more proficient in the skills of seamanship.

Courses Available

bulletBoating Safely (BSC): an eight hour basic skills and knowledge boating safety course---may be divided into four two hour lessons or eight one hour lessons.
bulletGlobal Positioning Systems Course (GPS): --NEW COURSE--
bulletPersonal Watercraft (PWC): one hour basic safety course.
bulletBoating Skills and Seamanship (BS&S): excellent all-around course consisting of six core chapters (2 hours each) with an optional seven more chapters.
bulletSailing and Seamanship (S&S) : for any sailors or future sailors--seven core lessons (2 hours each)
bulletBasic Coastal Navigation (BCN): minimum of six lessons (2 hours each)
bulletAdvanced Coastal Navigation (ACN): minimum of twelve lessons (2 hours each)
bulletWater'N Kids or Boats'N Kids courses are available for the public schools--courses are one lesson of one hour duration.
bullet*Oregon State Marine Board--instuction will reflect state requirements.
bullet*Idaho Department Of Parks And Recreation--proctoring Idaho Boating Basics examinations.
