- Public Education:
- We offer many opportunities for recreational boaters to expand their knowledge and
skills. In addition, our instructors conduct water safety awareness classes at public
schools (K-12) by request. Auxiliary instructors will also be administering the *Oregon State Marine Board classes and exams, and
proctoring *Idaho Department of
Parks and Recreation "Boating Basics" examinations.
- Vessel Safety Checks:
- Certified Auxiliarists conduct Vessel Safety Checks for many types of Pleasure boats and
Personal Water Craft (Jet Skis) to ensure that your vessel is safe so that you may enjoy
your time on the water.
- Marine Dealer Visitors:
- Qualified Auxiliarists work with local Marine Dealers to promote boating safety.
- Recruiting:
- We provide information about many exciting opportunities in the Coast Guard Auxiliary,
the U.S. Coast Guard, and entry into the
U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
